Femto-LASIK is a ‘bladeless procedure’ where only laser systems are used to cut the flap.
It is thus a more precise, predictable and safe method for creating the corneal flap as compared to the conventional microkeratome(‘blade’) flaps. In addition to the increased safety during surgery, Femto-LASIK flaps have vertical edges which ensure quicker and stronger healing as compared to microkeratome flaps which have sloping edges.
This translates into a much less risk of displacement of the flaps in case of inadvertent injury to the eye. Quality of vision (i.e crispness, contrast etc) is also superior with Femto-LASIK because of the uniformly thick flaps and the smooth corneal bed.

The femtosecond laser is used for the initial part of the LASIK surgery when the corneal flap is prepared. The surgeon then switches to an excimer laser to achieve the corneal ablation and correct the visual disorder.
A special contact glass is placed on the eye for the laser pulses to pass through and focus into the cornea. The surgeon uses a microscope to follow the progress of flap creation.
After the cut is completed, the contact glass is removed. Using a fine instrument, the flap is folded back exposing the stromal bed of the cornea.
At this point, the excimer laser is used for the corneal ablation to correct the nearsightedness, farsightedness/or astigmatism. When the ablation is completed, the flap is folded back and it adheres tightly to the stromal bed without the need for sutures.
Custom Lasik surgery is also known as wavefront Lasik . It uses 3D measurement of how your eye processes images to guide the Laser in reshaping the cornea.
Standard presciption for glasses, contact lenses or traditional Lasik procedures can correct ordinary vision defects such as Myopia, Hyperopia and astigmatism. But other irregularities associated with eye’s optical system could be addressed by wavefront.
Wavefront technology is ground breaking because it has the potential to improve not only how much you can see but also how well you can see in terms of contrast sensitivity and fine detail.
This technology helps in improving qualitative vision after surgery. It also eliminates or reduces post operative night vision problems

Tissue saving method is performed on patients having very high minus numbers (myopia) or very high plus numbers (hyperopia) and relatively thin cornea. it is performed by creating flap of 70 -90microns instead of 130 microns in conventional Lasik Laser method. Special software is used along with flap making instruments in this method. This procedure ensures that maximum possible number is corrected with minimum tissue utilization. There are less chances of regression of numbers in future and utmost safety is ensured to the patient’s eye.
Lepto Lasik procedure is performed on patients having very thin cornea and very high numbers. it can be performed also in patients who wants to save maximum corneal tissue and obtain the benefit of wavefront method.
It is performed by creating a flap of 70-90 microns and treating the patients by wavefront technology.

- We can assure 6/6 or 20/20 vision or super to the patient
- We can correct bigger range of refractive error
- As it corrects higher order aberration, it gives better contrast sensitivity, prevents night glare, halos, etc. it gives better night vision

EPI-Lasik is an abbrviation for Epithelial Laser in situ keratomileusis. This procedure is an advances type of corneal surface ablation to correct nearSightedness, farSightedness and astigmatism.
EPI –Lasik procedure is performed on patients having very high refractive error with thin cornea. in EPI – Lasik method corneal flap of 60 µ is created.
In EPI Lasik Epithelial flap is made, by special microkeratome and Laser is given to correct the required numbers. Then the Epithelial flap is placed back on the cornea with special spatula.
Bandage contact lens is placed on the cornea to keep the flap in place until it re-epithelializes. After EPI Lasik procedure patient may experience pain, watering and blurred vision for 2- 3 days.
